Mangaluru: The functions of the Environmental Association (Eco-club) and Innovation club for the year 2019-20 were launched here at the Ravindra Kalabhavana of the University College Mangaluru on Saturday.

Dhanyashree and the dignitaries illuminated the lamp as a symbol of the inauguration. Students created an innovative pop-up banner made up of paper and other biodegradable things which were manifested as a plant and used during inauguration. This was followed by the release of the book “FOOTPRINTS 2018” prepared by Eco and Innovation club Coordinator Dr. Siddaraju M.N.

Chief Guest and resource person of the function Dr. Jayakar Bhandary, a well-known Ecology expert and a Professor of Botany from Government First Grade College, Car-street Mangaluru, gave an informative talk on “Environmental Issues and our ethical responsibilities”.

Chemistry Professor Dr. K Laxman presided over the program. Pallavi welcomed the gathering. Pooja introduced the Guest, Chetan was the in-charge of the Seminar talk. Saloni rendered vote of thanks and Club joint Secretary Vedashini mastered the ceremony
