Inculcate qualities to face challenges: Lt. Col. Ajay Pratap Singh

Mangaluru: “The faith that you earn from your parents and teachers is equivalent to love towards one’s nation. Love towards country doesn’t mean only to love ones in the country but also every Indian in the world. Utilize this quality to become better citizens of this country. Education shall not be restricted to only books, but also inculcate the quality of facing challenges”, said Lt. Col. Ajay Pratap Singh here on Saturday, January 26.

He said this addressing the gathering as the chief guest of the 70th Republic Day celebration in Lourdes Central School.

Convenor of the school Rev Fr Wilson Vitus D’Souza presided over the programme.

In his message, he said, “Exploitation and corruption free society is the need of the hour. By honesty, truthfulness, and obedience one can bring in a change in the society. We must all inculcate these qualities”.

Lt. Col. Ajay Pratap Singh was honoured for his service towards the country.

Vice Principal Belita Mascarenhas was also present.

Later, patriotic dance performance was rendered by the students.

Andrea welcomed the gathering.

Trisha Rai and Christopher explained the importance of Republic Day.

Ashna Ferrao and Suha Khan hosted the programme.

Teachers Asha Shet and Vaishak Bhat compered the programme.

Teresa Monteiro, Sunita, Josma, Prithi Vamanjoor, Gauri and Ravi helped in smooth conducting of the programme.
