
Mangaluru: On account of World Cancer Day, A J Hospital & Research Centre had organised a cancer screening camp from February 4 to 9 at A J Cancer Institute in association with Indian Cancer Society.
Cancer screening camp benefits included registration and Consultation Free, Investigations at 25% Discount, free PAP smear test, special concessions on Inpatient treatment.
Oncology awareness and screening camp started at 10 AM on February 4, by registering patients and continued till February 9. Patients were screened from 10 AM to 4.00 PM on these days.

Positive cases identified include Brain, Breast, Esophagus, Gingivobuccal Complex, Liver, Lung, Penis, Sigmoid Colon and Tongue cancer. Treatment of these patients will continue at A J Cancer Institute.
Indian Cancer Society is associated with A J Hospital & Research Centre and has been conducting Cancer Awareness and Screening camps.
Indian Cancer Society has contributed towards the treatment of identified cancer patients from economically weaker section of the society. The donation received from Indian Cancer Society will strengthen the efforts of A J Cancer Foundation, which is working towards providing quality cancer treatment to the needy.
