NEET stands for National Eligibility cum Entrance Test, which is an All India UG Entrance Test organized in order to evaluate the ability of the candidates to grant them admission into MBBS and BDS courses. It is an entrance test, which is considered valid for providing admissions into any government as well as private medical colleges.
According to an order passed by the Supreme Court of India in 2016, according to the order it has been stated that; the NEET would be the only examination that will fill up the India Quota seats and the State Level Quota seats across the country.
The syllabus for NEET includes topics from Physics, Chemistry, Botany and Zoology which are to be more emphasized by the student while preparing for NEET. The candidate must go through the mentioned subjects thoroughly, in order to secure an eligible score. Moreover, the examination is organized for 3 hours, within which the candidates have to appear for a 180 marks paper. The marking pattern is designed as such that each correct answer carries a 3 mark, whereas there is a deduction of 1 mark for each answer made wrong. But, there was neither a mark scored nor deducted for any question left unattended.
The Medical Council of India prescribes the syllabus for NEET, with respect to the concepts or topics of 10+1 and 10+2 levels. Hence, the candidates can refer to the NCERT textbooks which are considered to be the smartest choice, in order to have effective preparations for NEET. The NCERT textbooks are developed according to the latest CBSE curriculum, which tends to be often helpful while making preparations for both Boards examinations as well as other competitive examinations, such as NEET.
The vast syllabus of NEET often tends to put pressure upon the students, and because of this, the students must efficiently balance every concept and topic without having much confusion. Also, it is a smart move to make preparations way ahead of the announcement of dates, because it has a high level of competition. As revising and practising sample questions will do the mental exercise; so it is necessary to have it balanced with physical exercises too. One can practice yoga to keep themselves focused and also their body healthy.
