Bengaluru: Four from the state have made it to the committee formed by the Union Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) to come up with the final draft of National Education Policy (NEP).
Karnataka Knowledge Commission (KKC) chairman Dr. K Kasturirangan, member secretary of KKC Prof. MK Shridhar, Dr. Vasudha Kamat and Dr. T.V.Kattimani who will be the part of this committee are from Karnataka. Committee has nine members including the chairman.Dr. Vasudha Kamat is a prominent academician from the field of education technology who has contributed extensively towards school education. She was also Vice-Chancellor of SNDT University Mumbai.
Dr. T.V.Kattimani is Vice Chancellor of Tribal University, Amarkantak. He is from the field of language education and mass communication. Dr. M.K.Shridhar is a faculty working with Bangalore University (BU). He is also a member of CABE. According to the MHRD notification, the council will start its work from immediate effect.
