FMMCH observes World Vitiligo day; offers free regn to Vitiligo patients

Mangaluru: On the occasion of World Vitiligo day, Indian Association of Dermatologists, Venereologists and Leprologists [IADVL] – Karnataka Branch has organized a public awareness campaign throughout Karnataka.

On the eve of this “Vitiligo Jatha” a vehicle which is travelling throughout Karnataka arrived to Father Muller Medical College premises on June 27 morning .

Rev. Fr. Rudolph Ravi D’Sa – Administrator FMMCH & Rev. Fr. Jeevan George Sequeira – Assistant Administrator FMMCH, Dr. Sanjeev Rai -CMS FMCI, Dr. Sukumar D – Prof & HOD of Dermatology, Staff & Post graduates of department of Dermatology were present during the occasion. Leaflets aimed at creating awareness on Vitiligo were distributed among the public. Later, the vehicle proceeded to various other places in the city.

The Vitiligo camp was organized by the Department of Dermatology in Skin OPD on June 27. Free registration for all the patients with VITILIGO, 50 per cent reduction in charges for phototherapy and surgical modalities like punch/ blister grafting and free medicines were provided to the patients.
