With her message, she inspired the students to come up with innovative ideas to be self-sufficient and make ‘profit with a purpose’.
Rev. Fr Denzil Lobo, S.J. Director, AIMIT, addressed the issue of climate change caused by global warming by quoting the words of Pope Francis ‘Crime against nature is a crime against ourselves’. The issue of climate change can be put to an end by a radical change in our lifestyles and consumption habits to save our planet. He also shed light on doing something different, instead of going with the flow by bringing change in our lifestyle which will bring about a lasting change, because the world owes a serious social debt to the poor who suffer due to deforestation and global warming. He concluded by wishing the participants the best for the next two days.
The inaugural came to an end with the rendition of the college anthem.
