Mangaluru: On the occasion of Engineer’s Day, Sahyadri College paid homage to Sir. M. Visvesvaraya.

The students of TCIS – The Cambridge International School visited Sahyadri Campus and along with the Principal, the HODs, the faculty, the staff and students of Sahyadri showered flowers on the statue of Sir. M. Visvesvaraya commemorating him on his birthday.

A group of 70 primary school children of The Cambridge International School, Adyar as a part of community interaction programme accompanied by six teachers visited the campus. These students visited various departments and facilities in Sahyadri. They also interacted with the Dreamers Team.

The students were delighted to see the airplane model design and air show. Sir. M. Visvesvaraya dedicated his life towards the building of the nation and he epitomized all the qualities of an ideal engineer throughout his life. Hence, as a mark of honour for this great luminary his birthday is celebrated as ‘Engineer’s Day’.
