Mangaluru: The eighth Annual Convocation Day of NITTE (Deemed to be University) will be held on Saturday, September 8 at the Nitte KSHEMA campus ground.

Addressing a press meet at the Press Club here on Thursday, September 6, Dr. Satheesh Kumar Bhandary said, “Chancellor of NITTE N Vinay Hegde will preside over the convocation ceremony, President of the University of Miyazaki Dr. Tsuyomu Ikenoue, MD PhD, will deliver the convocation address. Pro-Chancellor Professor M Shantharam Shetty, Pro-Chancellor (Administration) Vishal Hegde and others will also be present on the occasion.”

Dr. Kandavara Narayan Shetty, Cardiologist, Pennsylvania and Vinod K Dasari, Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of Ashok Leyland will be awarded the “Doctor of Science (Honoris Causa).”

“A total of 852 students will be awarded convocation certificates,” he added.
