Alumni Association felicitation to Dr Raghu Naika on being elected President Karnataka Sahithya Parishath, Byndoor Tq

Byndoor: The members and Managing Committee members of the Alumni Association felicitated Dr Raghu Niaka, Principal, Government First Grade College, Byndoor on being elected as the President of  Karnataka Sahithya Parishath, Byndoor Tq in a recently held program at Government First Grade College, Byndoor. Praveenchandra Shetty, President of the Alumni Association, Muthaiah Poojari, Vice-President, L Harish Sherigar, Secretary and Shashidhara Hebbar, Joint Secretary, CA N Ramananda Prabhu, Honorary president of Alumni Association were present during the program. CA Vasanth Shanbhague and CA Akshatha Shanbhague, resource persons of the Udupi Branch of ICAI  were present during the program.

Praveen Kumar Shetty, while congratulating Dr Raghu Naika on his new role and wishing him well and will commit to working for the interest of Kannada literature and our rich Kannada culture and heritage of Karnataka in the newly formed Byndoor Taluk. Muthaiah Poojary also congratulated Dr and echoed Shetty’s view and see that we have a number of Kannada cultural events all around the year in Byndoor in the coming days.

CA N Ramanada Prabhu also congratulated Dr Raghu Naika, the newly-elected president will align with all the organizations that are promoting Kannada literature and culture would be brought under the forum of Kannada Sahitya Parishat, encourage budding writers, decentralize the activities in order to encourage women and youth to participate actively in literary and cultural activities in and around byndoor in the days to come and wish Dr well in his tenure as the president.

Dr Raghu Naika,  while addressing the audience said, the Karnataka Sahithya Parishath is not just for publishing books but will fight for all the cause of Kannada in all walks of life and other lacunae in Kannada, it is the responsibility of people here to preserve it. He also called upon the Kannada lovers to become members of the Sahitya academy and thus serve the language and look forward to continued support for the Kannada Sahitya academy in the days to come. He also thanked the managing committee and members of the alumni association for the felicitation program and the love of the people towards the Kannada language and to strengthen the Kannada language and culture in rural areas.

Dr Naika also said “It’s essential that everyone take an active role in developing Kannada.  Kannada Sahitya Parishat has been promoting Kannada among people regardless of caste, creed, religion, and regional differences. I am committed to bringing laurels to my hometown and  I need the cooperation of the rural people in securing  more membership and growing the strength of parishat in the coming days,”

L Harish Sherigar proposed the vote of thanks for all the alumni association members, students, staff and guests who were present during the program and the alumni association will host and recognize such personalities in future as part of its social responsibility and commitment to society and community at a large and responsible citizen of the country.
