Mangaluru: We are glad to inform you that The Yenepoya School is collaborating with an organisation called Institutional Excellence Forum, based in Delhi, which has been established as a non- profit organisation for promoting excellence in higher education. IEF is involved in the setting up of Career Excellence Centres (CEC) in various parts of the country. Their objective is to provide Career guidance to students from high school to PU level based on their interests and abilities.
This collaboration aims at promoting non STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) fields of study in higher education and give boost to vocational training in the country.
The aim is to set- up 100 CECs in different cities of the country with each CEC catering to the schools in and around the city. IEF is running many centres in the North and North Eastern parts of the country. This would be their first collaboration in South India.
TYS will be providing the space to run this Centre in our city and coordinating with the schools who would be interested in joining this program. The CEC established will allow school students to explore all possible career opportunities in a transparent and effective manner through the use of technology and career counselling.
IEF bears all the expenses of this program and no fees will be charged to the school or it’s students.
The Institutional Excellence Forum will be providing the following services through this program:
• The setting up of Career Counselling Centre
• Setting up Career Exploration Library in every school
• Conducting Psychometric Assessment & Preparing Career Guidance Report
• Conduct Career Guidance seminars for parents, teachers and students
• Building awareness about vocational skills
• Awarding Scholarship to deserving students to promote non- STEM fields of study
