Mangaluru: As a befitting message on the World Peace Day, a short film scripted, directed and produced by Rev Fr. Nelson D’ Almeida Director of Sandesha Mangaluru, under the title “My Peace My Choice” was released, here on Thursday September 20.

The film was released by Most Rev Dr. Peter Paul Saldhana Bishop of Mangaluru in the St. Aloysius Gonzaga School auditorium.

Bishop Dr. Saldhana, lauded the efforts of Fr. Nelson for bringing out a value based short film on religious harmony. He invited everyone to be the prophets of peace.

Speaking on the occasion Rev Fr. Dionysius Vas SJ Rector of Aloysius Institutions said, “We need to break the walls of discrimination and build bridges”.

The newly elected bishop was felicitated by the Rector of the institution and the management of the Gonzaga school. Fr. Nelson was felicitated by the newly Bishop Dr. Saldhana for his short film.

The whole cast of the movie was felicitated by the Bishop. The cast includes Grace Noronha Principal, Ishaan P Shetty, Mohammed Zeeshan, Ethan Pinto and their parents. Others associated with the short film too were felicitated.

Students of St Aloysius Gonzaga School presented a welcome dance. Jacintha D’Costa compered the programme.

Fr. Nelson has also directed three other non-commercial short films namely, “My Country My Life”, My Teacher My School and “My Dad My Mom”. These films are including the recently released “My Peace My Choice” is available on YouTube.
