Mangalore: A.J. Institute of Dental Sciences in association with Indian Dental Association, Dakshina Kannada Branch and Rotary Club, Kalyanpura organized a Teachers Training programme on 14th July 2015 at Mount Rosary Millenium Hall in at Santhekatte in Udupi. The programme was inaugurated by the Chief Guest Prof. Dr. Y. Bharath Shetty Principal of A.J. Institute of Dental Sciences. Dental Council of India Vice President Rtn. PHF. Allen Lewis, and Brahmavar Block Education Officer Sri. Nagesh Shanbhag, were the Guests of Honor.

Rotary club, Kalyanpura President Rtn. PHF. Anand Shetty, IDA-DK Branch President Dr Chaitanya Shanbahag and the Chief Co-ordinator Dr Roshan Shetty, Reader, A.J. Institute of Dental sciences were present.

Teachers from Schools of Bramhavara Block were present and were provided training on the topic “Oral Health, prevention and control of common oral diseases”. This knowledge, according to the resource persons, can be disseminated among the students of their respective schools. Certificates were distributed to the teachers who participated in this training programme.
