Puducherry: A Panchayat in Puducherry, which is still lagging behind in implementation of the Total Sanitation Campaign is out for a lavish treat from the government.

The Puducherry government has told the people of Sellipet Panchayat- “Construct a toilet in your house and get a free ticket for the much-awaited Tamil film ‘Kabali’, starring superstar Rajinikanth.”

A survey by the district rural development agency had found that of the 772 households in Sellipet village, 447 do not have a toilet.

Lt Governor Kiran Bedi has requested Rajinikanth to be the brand ambassador of the Swachh Bharat scheme in Puducherry.
