Mumbai: Following an entire season of power packed dance performances on the show and love challenges in the background, the Nach Baliye season 7 ended on a grand note, with the much adored couple Himanshoo Malhotra and Amruta Khanvilkar taking home the trophy. They were  presented with a check of Rs 30 Lakh and a Honda Jazz car as well.

“Winning matters a lot in our country and it is often associated with a lot of happiness. We obviously wanted to win and now that we’ve won, we’re very happy. It’s like people’ prayers been answered and I feel like it’s Eid for us today,” a jubilant Himmanshoo told the media after the victory.

The Star Plus show which was judged by actress Preity Zinta, author Chetan Bhagat and choreographer Marzi Pestonji, displayed a grand finale event with the presence of the industry’s big names such as Ajay Devgn and Shriya.

Co-hosted by Rithvik Dhanjani and Karan Patel, the grand finale was a dancing extravaganza witnessing some power packed performances by the remaining four pairs. In a much awaited scenario, bestselling author Chetan bhagat was seen dancing for the first time on stage.

Rashami Desai and Nandish Sandhu were the first runners up, followed by the much loved couple of the “Big Boss” fame, Karishma Tanna and Upen Patel.
