Directors would want an actor who is curious: Sushant

New Delhi, Sep 30: After a triumphant TV career, Sushant earned his big screen debut with Abhishek Kapoor’s “Kai Po Che!” which then bagged him a YRF project as “Shuddh Desi Romance”.
 
From Dibakar Banerjee, Rajkumar Hirani to Neeraj Pandey, Sushant Singh Rajput’s filmography avowals of directors every actor craves to work with. He holds that his commitment towards his job is what draws these filmmakers towards him.
 
“All these filmmakers are great not because they know their job well, it’s because they are curious to know how to go about it,” he told PTI.
 
“Such people would want an actor who is curious, wants to learn and gets involved in his job to a maddening level that he forgets everything else. And I am all that,” he added.
 
The 30-year-old actor is now eagerly expecting the release of “MS Dhoni: The Untold Story”, a biopic on Indian cricketer and captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni.
 
The trailer of the film, which released today, however, Sushant is not nervous but says he is only curious to know the audience’s response.
 
“So, I am not worried about that. Of course, I will feel nice if what I felt while making the film resonates with the audience. But as an actor, my job is done. There’s no nervousness. I am just interested in knowing the reaction. Whatever reaction I get, I will get used to it in a day.”
 
His one of the most acclaimed films, Banerjee’s “Detective Byomkesh Bakshy!” is also now set for a sequel with Sushant equipping up to reprise his character.
