HC rejects actor Ganesh’s building plans in Bandipur

Gundlupet: Actor Ganesh has encountered a setback as the High Court has rejected his construction plans for a permanent building within the eco-sensitive zone of Jakkahalli, which is situated within the Bandipur Tiger Reserve. Ganesh had contested a notice issued by the forest department that raised objections to his construction project in Survey No. 105 of Jakkahalli, located in the Gundlupet taluk.

The decision of the High Court underscores that only temporary residential structures are permissible within eco-sensitive areas, and extensive building construction is prohibited. Consequently, Ganesh has been instructed to provide a clear response within a week as part of the ongoing investigation. Furthermore, the Forest Department has received instructions to conduct a thorough inquiry, and Ganesh has been prohibited from undertaking any construction activities during this period.
