An interesting video featuring Rohit Sharma having a heated conversation with Kolkata Knight Riders assistant coach Abhishek Nayar went viral on social media ahead of the Mumbai Indians’ Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 matchup against them on Saturday. Fans quickly ascertained the exact words exchanged between Rohit and Nayar on the eve of the KKR vs. MI match at Eden Gardens, despite the loud background noise.
In the video, Rohit and Nayar could be heard talking about ‘things changing’. At the end of the video, the former Mumbai Indians skipper also said that “it’s his last”. Though the context of the conversation isn’t known, fans suggested that the two could’ve talked about the current situation at Mumbai Indians, especially Hardik Pandya’s appointment as skipper.
“Ek ek cheez change ho raha hai…Woh unke upar hai…Jo bhi hai woh mera ghar hai bhai, woh temple jo hai na maine banwaya hai(Everything is changing one by one… It’s on them… Whatever, but it’s my home brother, it’s the temple that I constructed).”
The last line that could be heard in the video was: “Bhai mera kya mera to ye last hai (brother, this is my last anyway)”.
Clear audio of Rohit Sharma and Abhishek Nayar's conversation, he didn't said that it's his last IPL.
Please don't make any conclusions on half said words.🙏pic.twitter.com/9lbtZRQvQB

A few days ago, a report emerged suggesting that multiple senior players in the Mumbai Indians team aren’t happy with Hardik Pandya’s captaincy. In fact, the senior stars also reportedly said that Hardik’s style of captaincy doesn’t create the required ‘buzz’ in the MI dressing room.
Before the new season began, the Mumbai Indians management named Hardik as the team’s captain in the hopes that the all-rounder from India would guide them to victory, as he did with the Gujarat Titans the previous two seasons. Still, not much has gone MI’s way since the campaign’s inception.
Mumbai Indians, currently ranked ninth in the 10-team points standings, became the first team eliminated from the playoff race this season. MI has only managed to win 4 of their 12 games thus far, and Hardik’s leadership abilities have also been called into question on numerous occasions.
