With Yash’s eagerly awaited entertainer, Kareena Kapoor Khan was all set to make her pan-Indian debut. According to reports, she was supposed to play Yash’s on-screen sister in the movie. There is talk, though, that the actress left the movie. She departed the team in a cordial manner.
Kareena has left the film, citing scheduling conflicts, according to a source close to the production company, who told Pinkvilla this. “Yash’s dates for Toxic do not match Kareena Kapoor’s dates. The source stated that “the makers have amicably parted ways after making efforts to set the calendar right.”
The source further added, “Toxic has a strong sibling emotion, and the part of the sister is very crucial to the narrative, warranting the presence of a top star. The makers are looking to cast actresses with Pan India presence for the part.” Reportedly, the makers have reached out to several actresses.
While Kareena walked out of the film, rumours are rife that Kiara Advani is still very much a part of the film. A source told Pinkvilla that Kiara will be seen in the film, playing a pivotal role. The insider added that the film will star three leads. “The film will feature three actresses, with Kareena Kapoor Khan and Kiara Advani already on board. However, the makers will make an official announcement at the right time. The insider also revealed that Kareena will be playing Yash’s sister in the film,” the report claimed.
If this is true, Toxic would mark Kiara’s Kannada film industry debut. She is already working on a Telugu film titled Game Changer with Ram Charan. Meanwhile, it is also claimed that Shruti Haasan is being considered the third actress, considering she sang the theme song of the film. However, Yash and Geethu are yet to react to the news.
Meanwhile, a source revealed last month that Yash has already dived deep into the making of the film.
“He has been closely involved in the creative process and works closely on multiple aspects. With Toxic, he is taking this a notch higher. Yash has meticulously put together the team for the film and is working closely with them, and the photos taken during the recce with the team were one such instance,” the source said.
The team will soon begin filming, the insider said. “They intend to begin filming in the near future, so the preparations are moving at a breakneck pace. According to the source, “Yash has fully committed himself to the film’s preparation in order to create the world of Toxic, which aims to strike a chord with audiences beyond boundaries.”
