Traditional Jamboo Savari held to mark end of Dasara in Mysore

Mysore: One of the major attractions of the Dasara festivities, and its finale, the traditional Jamboo Savari was held on here on October 4.

The Goddess Chamundeshwari was placed in a golden howdah on the top of a decorated elephant.

This idol is worshipped by the royal couple and other invitees before it is taken around for the procession. The procession ends at the Banni Mantap

CM Siddaramaiah, district incharge minister Srinivas Prasad,  Deputy Commissioner C Sheikha, MP Pratap Simha, Saleem, Abhinav Kare, ZP Pushpa Amarnath, Ex MP Vishwanath were present on the occasion.
