Mysore :The first batch of Dasara jumbos were welcomed into the city and inauguration was done by by Minister Shrinivas Prasad,Gram panchayat president Dr Pushpa Amarnath, Mysore N M Rajeshwari Somu and others here at Nagapura Girijana Ashrama school premises.

The five jumbos led by Arjuna are camping are the forest department headquarters.

District minister V Shrinivas Prasad and DC C Shikha offered pooja at Nagapura, entry point to Nagarhole, to the elephants.

Later on children from schools entertained people with cultural programmes.
