Belthangady: Five days have passed since Indian Air Force’s AN-32 aircraft carrying 29 people onboard went missing over the Bay of Bengal on July 22. Search operations have not yielded a result yet.
Total silence prevails at soldier’s residence after aircraft goes missing

In the meantime, it is learnt that Chief Minister Siddaramaiah spoke to Eknath Shetty’s wife Jayanthi over phone to console her and her family members. Leading RSS leader Kalladka Prabhakar Bhat too visited the residence of Eknath Shetty and consoled his family members.

As no information is available about the missing aircraft, it has become very difficult to draw any conclusion.

Meanwhile, the coast guard too said that it has not found any debris or survivors. After obtaining the satellite imagery, combined efforts were made to trace the missing aircraft, but in vain.

Pall of gloom covers Shetty’s residence ‘Gurudhama’ which has a showcase full of medals and shields that Eknath bagged and a poster that reads “Be an Army man – Be a Winner for Life” that narrates his dedication to the Force.
