Mangaluru: Soon after the pro-Hindu activists called off their protest on Monday, following a communal clash in Ulaibettu, a youth was stabbed allegedly by sangh parivar activists, here in Kunjathbail, Mangaluru.

The injured is Mohammed Sharif, a chicken trader. He is undergoing treatment in a private hospital in Kottara.

According to the eyewitness, two persons allegedly stabbed Sharif, who came by bike. Sharif’s friend tried to stop the miscreants, but they fled from the spot, sources said. It’s learnt that the injured knows the attackers.

Meanwhile, two persons belonging to the Hindu community were stabbed at SunkadaKatte, Bajpe. They were taken to SCS hospital, the identity of the injured is not yet revealed.
