Mangaluru: A person from a pro-Hindu outfit was attacked with swords at Bajpe, late night on December 7.

The victim has been identified as Ranju alias Ranjith. According to him, he was stalked by four men on two motor bikes before being assaulted.
Realizing that he was being chased with criminal intent, he tried to flee from the spot, but in the rush, he fell down a slope near Kenjar and got injured. on his legs. However by then the attackers had reached him and one of them hit him on his head with a sharp object which badly injured him.
On the same night, in another but separate incident, a person identified as Syed Wasim from Bengaluru was attacked at Bunder by two persons who came on a bike. Allegedly, the attackers first snatched his phone, then stabbed him and fled the spot.
It is learnt that Wasim had come from Bengaluru to buy some wholesale goods, and was returning after dinner when the attack took place.
Cases have been registered at the Bajpe police station and Bunder police station, respectively.
