Mangaluru: In a resounding show of dissent, thousands of students affiliated with the Akhila Bharati Vidyarthi Parishad voiced their opposition to the state government’s decision to revoke the National Education Policy (NEP).
The state government’s move to discard the NEP, a policy highly regarded for its student-friendly approach, has triggered significant concern. The replacement of the prevailing British education policy with a new approach under NEP has been widely anticipated, promising enhanced educational opportunities.
Students rallied together, chanting the rallying cry “We want NEP,” and effectively conveyed their message through a formal appeal submitted to the state government via the Tahsildar. Their plea urges an immediate reconsideration of the decision to annul the NEP, citing the policy’s potential to facilitate increased access to education.
