Chamarajanagar: The protest for Cauvery water resources, which has entered its 48th day, took an unusual turn as pro-Kannada organization activists engaged in a distinctive form of protest by standing on one leg, leading to traffic disruptions.
These demonstrators organized a symbolic protest at Sri Bhuvaneswari Circle, situated along the National Highway connecting Karnataka and Tamil Nadu. They alleged that the Central government, Tamil Nadu Cauvery Water Management Committee, and the state government were subjecting the state’s residents to metaphorically standing on one leg.
Among those participating in the protest were Karnataka Sena State President C.R. Srinivasgowda, senior activists such as S. Murali, C.V. Rajagopal, Mahesh Gowda, Panyadahundi Raju, along with others. Additionally, Purushotham and Tandavamurthy were among the participants in the demonstration.
