Mysore: Two individuals lost their lives, and three others sustained injuries in a tragic accident on Thursday night near Manandwadi road in Mysore when their car collided with an electric wire. The incident took place during a test drive of a second-hand Innova car. The car, which belonged to Ravi Kumar from Ashokapuram, was being driven by him along with his friends Bhaskar, Sandesh, and Shivakumar to consider purchasing the vehicle. Regrettably, the car lost control, veered off the road, and crashed into a compound before hitting an electric pole.
Eyewitnesses reported that an auto driver named Kiran, who happened to be passing by, rushed to help the occupants of the car. Tragically, both Kiran and Ravi Kumar lost their lives after being struck by the broken electric wire. Sandesh and Shivakumar, who were in the car during the accident, suffered severe shocks and injuries, while Bhaskar managed to escape the danger unharmed.
Emergency services were immediately called, and the injured were rushed to KR Hospital for medical treatment. The police have registered a case, and authorities are conducting an inquiry into the incident.
