Chief Minister Siddaramaiah Predicts NDA Won’t Secure Full Majority

Mysuru: Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has stated that NDA will not get full majority this time. He expressed confidence that the INDIA alliance which is fighting against BJP will get majority and form the government. The slogan of BJP that they would win more than 400 seats was just a mind game and it was to mislead the people, he said.

The Chief Minister hailed the work of the N.I.A and Karnataka Police in arresting the two key suspects in the Rameshwaram Cafe bomb blast case is commendable. He was speaking to the media at his residence in Mysuru on Saturday.

He said that after bringing the accused from Kolkata to Bengaluru, the investigative agency will interrogate and gather more details.

Let Modi answer to people of the state what they have done to Karnataka

Responding to PM Modi’s arrival in Mysore tomorrow, the CM said “I have no problem with Modi coming and going. The people of the state should be told what they have done to Karnataka. He said that the answer should be given as to why no relief has been given to unemployment problem, tax distribution and drought till now.”

Why wasn’t action taken against Anantakumar Hegde

Responding to Modi’s statement that even if Ambedkar comes, the constitution cannot be changed and that BJP is in favour of the Constitution, the CM asked as to why action has not been taken against Anantakumar Hegde. He questioned whether he was dropped from the party or from the post of minister. He was sitting at home in North Karnataka without any work for five years, and came out in the last 3- 4 months. He said that Ananthakumar was not given a ticket on the basis of reports that he would lose.

The Chief Minister also visited the Late former minister Mahadev Prasad residence and had a breakfast with the leaders and he later visited former MP Srinivas Prasad residence and inquired the well-being of the former MP from Chamarajnagar. This was second time, the CM is meeting Srinivas Prasad.

The former MP has his own influence in Chamarajanagar constituency and the Congress leaders are seeking his support to secure win of HC Mahadevappa’s son Sunil Bose’s victory in the general election.
