Rock climbing is not for everyone, they say, but here are a hundred of them from different parts of the country who have sure proved that the art is for them as they showcase their free falling skills at the Varanashi farms in Bantwal on the 27th and 28th of April.
The show was indeed electrifying with swimmers from the Puttur aquatic club having some to display their skills.
It was indeed a thrilling spectacle for all to see, with the owner of the farms Partha Varanashi stating
“Speed climbing is an Olympic event and Psicobloc India promotes an exciting version of speed climbing and will attract more people to take up this sport.
We hope to encourage more climbing athletes in India, so that we can see a world champion or Olympic medallists from our country. By hosting the event at our farm and by bringing locals to see the event, we are encouraging rural kids to take up the sport.”
After all, ascending a 28 foot wall is not easy, and this too, when it is a wall suspended over a water body.
The event was successfully conducted with certified lifeguards to ensure everyone’s safety.
