In order to boost eco-tourism, educational tourism, health tourism, and leisure tourism in the Western Ghats region, the ferry service would be the first step. One of the least visited locations in India is Lakshadweep. The 36 islands that make up the archipelago are dispersed over 32 square kilometers.

For people who prefer the great outdoors, thrilling adventures, and peaceful vacation spots, Lakshadweep is an ideal destination. Among the water adventure activities you may do in Lakshadweep are diving and snorkelling. Fascinatingly, the archipelago has a wonderful blending of Arab and Indian cultures, which is seen in its art, architecture, and cuisine.

Lakshadweep is the ideal location for people looking to take a peaceful vacation apart from the hustle and bustle of the city.

Following the trial runs, the Ministry of Tourism’s Lakshadweep Islands Tourism Development Authority is prepared to launch Mangaluru-to-Lakshadweep tourist liners. The monsoon season, when the waves get turbulent, has the authorities skeptical. In order to address it, the Lakshadweep Islands Tourism Development Authority upgraded the amenities at Kadmat Island’s receiving point, which serves as the first port of call for ships arriving from the main island.

In addition to visiting Lakshadweep at the start of the year, Prime Minister Narendra Modi promoted the destination on social media. These days, a lot of travelers are drawn to the Lakshadweep islands because of their calm beaches and azure waters.

An important first that could boost the travel and tourist industry is the introduction of a high-speed ferry service between Mangaluru and Lakshadweep. The “Parali” ferry will cut the journey time in half, if not more. On May 3, a group of about 16 persons were transported, on a trial basis, from Lakshadweep to Mangaluru’s Old Port.

The ship had traveled less than seven hours to reach its destination instead of the previous thirteen hours.
