Sowjanya Case: Justice Saldanha demands Judicial investigation

Mangalore:Former High Court judge Justice MF  Saldanha has said  that the Govt. should investigate the  Sowjanya rape and murder case  under the supervision  of a senior judicial officer from the district.

Speaking in the press meet in the hotel woodlands he said that it is impractical to seek CBI investigation under the direct supervision of the Supreme Court. Rather the govt. should make arrangements to investigate the case under the supervision of a senior judicial officer from the district and he will be able to furnish the report within five months.

PUCL state president PB D’sa, District president Suresh Bhat and others were present at the occasion.
