Bengaluru : Nimhans and the non-profit Dementia India Alliance (DIA) have formalized their collaboration through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at strengthening joint endeavors in the realm of dementia care support services.
The partnership is set to significantly elevate the quality of life for individuals grappling with dementia and their caregivers, employing various approaches to achieve this goal.
In a statement, the National Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences (Nimhans) outlined that the collaborative efforts between Nimhans and DIA will extend to conducting joint research projects. These initiatives will focus on developing evidence-based best practices in dementia care, encompassing research on the identification, prevention, and management of dementia.
As part of this synergistic venture, Nimhans is committed to championing the fight against dementia. The institute will undertake a range of initiatives, including information dissemination, advocacy efforts, research projects, educational programs, conferences, outreach activities, training sessions, and other events dedicated to addressing the challenges associated with dementia care.
