Vijayapura: In a peculiar demonstration against the ongoing power outages in their region, farmers from Vijayapura district in Karnataka took an extraordinary step by bringing a crocodile to the Hubli Electricity Supply Company Limited (HESCOM)’s sub-station on Thursday, October 19th.

The farmers stumbled upon the large crocodile in a field in Ronihala village. Seizing the opportunity, they captured the reptile and transported it to the power station, where HESCOM personnel were on duty.

Upon their arrival at the power office, the farmers raised concerns with HESCOM officials, posing the question of how they should deal with potential nighttime fatalities resulting from snake, scorpion, or even crocodile bites.

Following this unusual demonstration, the crocodile was rescued by forest authorities and released into the Almatti River. Despite this unorthodox protest, the issue of load shedding remains unresolved, and farmers continue to endure the inconvenience of power outages in their region.

This incident highlights the frustration and desperation felt by these farmers as they seek a solution to their ongoing power supply problems.
