Bengaluru: Fakira Dingaleshwar Swamiji of Shirahatti Bhavikyamath, who had withdrawn his nomination papers as an independent candidate from Dharwad Lok Sabha constituency, citing that he had to follow his Guru’s word who asked him not to contest, will be launching a series of public meetings across Dharwad Lok Sabha constituency from today, according to a report.
Dingaleshwar Swamiji had announced that he would continue his “Dharma Yuddha,” which is to fight against current BJP MP and Union Minister Pralhad Joshi. Dingaleshwar Swamiji has been alleging that Joshi dislikes Lingayats and he did injustice to the community and was responsible for unseating BS Yediyurappa from the chief minister’s post.
Veerashaiva Mahasabha Secretary Renuka Prasanna voices support for Swamiji’s mission to uphold Lingayat dignity and confronts the BJP ticket allocation to Joshi, framing it as a battle for community pride.
