Full Schedule of Ayodhya ‘Pran-Pratishtha’ Ceremony

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to participate in the Ram Mandir consecration or pran-pratishtha ceremony in Ayodhya on Monday, January 22. Thousands of devotees have gathered in Ayodhya, creating a festive atmosphere with flags, horns, and drums.

The schedule for January 22 is as follows:

  • 10:25 am: PM Modi arrives in Ayodhya and takes a helicopter to the temple venue from the Ayodhya airport.
  • 10:55 am: Modi reaches the Ram temple premises.
  • 11 am – 12 pm: PM Modi may take a tour of the Ram Mandir premises.
  • 12:05 pm – 1 pm: The pran-pratishtha or consecration ceremony begins with Modi presiding over the rituals.
  • 1 pm: Modi departs the temple premises to address a public meeting of around 7,000.
  • 2:10 pm: Modi visits Kuber ka Tila, where the ancient temple of Bhagwan Shiv has been restored.

Key Features of the Ram temple in Ayodhya:

  • Constructed in the traditional Nagara style with a length of 380 feet, width of 250 feet, and height of 161 feet.
  • Supported by 392 pillars and has 44 doors.
  • Pillars and walls showcase intricately sculpted depictions of Hindu deities.
  • Main sanctum sanctorum on the ground floor houses the idol of Ram Lalla.
  • Fourteen couples from various parts of the country will be the ‘yajmaans’ for the ‘pran-pratishtha’ of the new 51-inch idol of Ram Lalla, sculpted by Mysuru resident Arun Yogiraj.
  • The temple is adorned with flowers and special lights, creating a religious ambiance throughout the city.
