Hyderabad: A tragic incident unfolded as a toddler, aged two and a half, lost her life to an attack by stray dogs while she was engaged in play outside a yet-to-be-completed apartment complex in Gayatri Nagar, near Hyderabad.
As per the authorities, the child and her sibling fell victim to an assault by two stray canines while enjoying themselves at the construction site, where their father, originally from Chhattisgarh, was employed.
This unfortunate event occurred on April 12th.
The young girl was promptly rescued and rushed to a nearby hospital. However, due to the extent of her injuries, she was subsequently transferred to another government medical facility in the area, where she was, tragically, pronounced dead.
Law enforcement officials have initiated an inquiry into the matter, and a case has been filed.
Regrettably, this incident echoes a similar heart-wrenching occurrence from February of this year, wherein a one-year-old boy suffered a fatal attack by a group of stray dogs while his father and other family members were asleep in their dwelling in Shamshabad, near Hyderabad.
