Dhaurahra: During a rally in Dhaurahra, Prime Minister Narendra Modi emphasized his commitment to upholding the sanctity of the Constitution, particularly concerning reservations based on religion. He criticized certain political factions for purportedly seeking to alter this constitutional provision.

Modi highlighted concerns about proposals within certain quarters to allocate reservation quotas intended for Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes (SC/ST) and Other Backward Classes (OBC) to Muslims, alleging this as part of a larger strategy of appeasement politics. He referenced remarks attributed to former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, suggesting a preference for resource allocation to Muslims, and expressed opposition to such initiatives.

The Prime Minister accused the Congress and associated factions of attempting to manipulate the country’s resources for electoral gains, vowing to resist any such efforts. He specifically denounced proposals to reinstate Article 370 in Kashmir and reiterated his stance against it.

Furthermore, Modi criticized the opposition bloc for purportedly planning to dismantle welfare schemes such as free ration and healthcare for the underprivileged, as well as discontinuing initiatives like the Vande Bharat trains.

In appealing to voters, Modi urged support for the BJP to prevent what he depicted as potential threats to cultural and infrastructural projects, such as the Ram Mandir and Kashi Vishwanath Corridor. He positioned the BJP as the safeguard against such perceived threats and emphasized the need for continued support to further his agenda.

On the subject of agricultural policy, Modi contrasted the performance of the current Yogi Adityanath-led government in Uttar Pradesh with its predecessors, alleging neglect by the previous administrations. He cited improvements in support for sugarcane farmers and initiatives to bolster agricultural sectors such as banana farming in the Dhaurahra area as evidence of progress.

Additionally, Modi highlighted infrastructure developments in regions like Sitapur and Lakhimpur, emphasizing the government’s commitment to regional progress.
