Raipur: A young IAS officer posted in a Naxal hotbed in Chhattisgarh has been issued notice by the state government for wearing sunglasses while receiving Prime Minister Narendra Modi earlier this month.
The notice read that Amit Kataria, the district magistrate of Bastar, has violated IAS rules.

The Raman Singh government asked the IAS officer to explain why he defied the protocol while welcoming Modi at Jagdalpur airport.
Reportedly, Modi had also appreciated Kataria’s work in the area and called him a ‘Dabangg officer’
Modi visited Chhattisgarh on May 9, where he attended a huge public rally vowing to get rid of the Maoist menace from the country. The PM also signed two MoUs for setting up a steel plant in the Bastar region and laying the second phase of Rowghat-Jagdalpur railway line.
