Bengaluru: Highly placed sources in the police department said that D K Ravi, the IAS officer who committed suicide by hanging on Monday sent the last SMS to his IAS batchmate after his futile attempt to speak over phone.
Sources said that he is said to have sent the SMS which apparently meant that “he would meet her in next life.” However, News Karnataka could not borrow the actual text of the sms, but it was referring to his confused mind, an officer said.
According to an officer, who is investigating the case, the Cyber Crime police have collected the call details of D K Ravi, who has reportedly made / received seven phone calls on the previous day, i.e., Sunday, between 7.30 am and 5.30 pm.
On Monday, Ravi made a call to her at 11.12 am and it lasted for 16 seconds. As somebody else picked the phone, Ravi is said to have disconnected the call. Hence, he is said to have sent the SMS, which is also the last SMS sent from his phone, sources said.
