Mangaluru: The Twentieth episode of Career Guidance with Prof. Ronald Pinto on ‘Higher studies in foreign countries’ was premiered on Saturday January 29.
Brian Fernandes, Director of Spearhead Media Group hosted the show by NewsKarnataka, which is powered by Loyala College, Bengaluru.
Brian Fernandies opened the session saying, when studying abroad it is also important to understand whether it is meant for you and how you should go about it.
Proceeding with the session Brian asked Prof. Ronald Pinto, Who should study abroad? And when should they think about studying abroad?
Professor mentioned that, compared to India, European system of education is very much practical. They follow ‘Work and Earn system’. He also explained on the Student -Teacher ratio and the difference between Indian system of Education and Education abroad. Pinto also explained on the entrance examinations like SIT, GRE and GMAT held abroad in order to enrol the students.
He mentioned about the examination held in English speaking nationalities and said, If you work hard then you will be better placed.
He also discussed the various expenses that students have to bear studying abroad. He said, the students who are ready to work hard and make their living, can succeed or else you should be a son or daughter of rich parents in India. Scholarships are the other benefit students have in reducing their burden.
Enlightening the Government of India and Government Of Karnataka scholarships available for students to study abroad, Brian Fernandies signed off stating, think twice as its worth a trouble.
