Los Angeles: Actress Halle Berry extended her 57th birthday celebrations by embracing the Barbie theme alongside her tall daughter, Nahla Ariela Aubry.
The star of ‘Moonfall’ posted a series of pictures on her Instagram account from an entirely pink-themed outing with her 15-year-old daughter Nahla and her boyfriend Van Hunt at the World of Barbie event in Santa Monica, California, according to a report by People magazine.
Berry captioned the carousel of eight photos, “My mini-me (though not so mini anymore) and my VanO treated me to the World of Barbie for my B-day! I got to fully embrace my inner Barbie!!!!” In her caption, she playfully acknowledged Nahla’s height as she stood taller than her mother.
She added, “I appreciate you all … thank you!” Berry continued, before providing a review of the Barbie exhibit. “And… I absolutely recommend it.”
As reported by People, the initial photo depicted Berry soaking up the sun while relaxing on a chair outside the venue, kicking up her pink Dolls Kill rhinestone cowboy boots onto the table.
The second picture captured Berry and Nahla walking away from the camera. Nahla’s face was hidden, while Berry smirked towards the lens. Both were dressed in matching frothy pink mini dresses, commemorating their visit to the Barbie-themed exhibit, an immersive experience launched in conjunction with the successful Barbie movie.
Several of Berry’s followers commented on Nahla’s height. One follower wrote, “Happiest of birthdays to you, Queen!! … wow, your daughter has grown really tall!” Another comment read, “She’s taller than her mom!!”
Nahla is Berry’s daughter with her former partner Gabriel Aubry, with whom she separated in 2010. Berry was accompanied on the Barbie outing by her boyfriend, 53-year-old Hunt, who wore a coordinating T-shirt and a pink teddy bear backpack. Berry and the singer-songwriter have been in a relationship for three years.
