India is all set to receive the Swedish foreign minister Tobias Billstorm who is on his way to make a visit to the country.
The foreign minister from Scandinavia will be making his way to Karnataka where he will hold dialogues with about 15 technology companies.
Of these 15 companies that are located in Bangalore, some are Indian, while some are Swedish to give the minister a good mix of companies from both homes.
This will in fact, be a good platform to compare the two ecosystems within their tech spaces, observing how they work together and coming up with solutions.
The minister has, till now, addressed over a hundred industry executives in the city of Bangalore. Overall, the mission was organized by the confederation of Indian industry in partnership with companies from Sweden.
The minister, in the end, stated how he was impressed with the growth and development of technology in the country, which has turned the city of Bangalore into a hub for emerging industries in India.
He further started how he looked forward to strengthening his contact base with the people here. What the minister noticed that the two countries have in common are interests in AI, technology as well as space life science and sustainability.
It is these interests that have led the two countries to enjoy 75 years of formal diplomatic relations, making India home to 280 Swedish companies today.
